Hi, I’m Isaac!

I travel with a backpack, a budget, and just enough planning to get me started.
Backpack on Budget is where I document what travel looks like when you’re not chasing luxury, algorithms, or perfect itineraries, just movement, curiosity, and stories that happen in between.
Why I Travel This Way
I don’t travel to tick boxes or collect photos for social media. I travel because moving teaches me things staying still never did.
Travelling on a budget isn’t a limitation for me, it’s a filter. It pushes me toward local food, public transport, slower routes, and places that feel real rather than curated. Some days are smooth, some are uncomfortable, and some are unforgettable for reasons I didn’t expect.
I’m okay with all of that.
What Backpack on Budget Is (and Isn’t)
This blog is:
- Honest, first-hand travel experiences
- Realistic budgets and everyday costs
- Street food, local transport, and simple stays
- Lessons learned the hard way
This blog is not:
- Luxury travel
- Sponsored hype
- “10 perfect things to do” lists
- A guide to doing everything right
If you’re looking for polished travel content, this probably isn’t it. If you’re looking for real travel, welcome!
If you’re traveling on a budget, thinking about it, or just curious about life on the road, I’m glad you’re here.
Thanks for reading,
Faisal
